I’m not sure what it says about my life that I was motivated to do something thanks to an infomercial on a Saturday afternoon.

I like that it doesn’t exactly claim to be a miracle cure-all for weight loss. It basically says that you’re going to work your ass off. I respect that. None of this 8-minute abs stuff, where it tries to show how little you can do. I’m not sure if great results can be had in 60 days, but there’s something I admire about that Insanity commercial. Somehow, we went from stopping the insanity to craving it.

So I started looking up 5k walks. Monica and I have talked about doing a half-marathon, but I want to start seriously training now. My goal for this year is to complete a half-marathon.
